Halfway down the valley, on the Soča.

Soča 18 is at the entrance to the village of Soča, on the edge of Triglav National Park. Upstream lie Trenta and the Vršič pass, downstream the Great Soča Gorge, Bovec and Kobarid.

How to get here.

By car

From Ljubljana in summer via Kranjska Gora and the Vršič pass, otherwise via Tarvisio and the Predil pass to Bovec, or via Idrija and Tolmin. From Italy over the Predil pass. The house is on road 206 between Bovec and Trenta, with free parking by the house.

Airports

Ljubljana (Brnik) ~100 km and Trieste ~90 km by road. Hiring a car is a good idea, as the valley’s sights are spread out.

By bus

There is a bus stop in the village of Soča. In summer a bus runs between Bovec, Trenta and Kranjska Gora over Vršič; check the timetable before you travel.
